The Racine Public Library building will open at 8 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 20. Social services, phone calls and our chat service will be available once the building opens.
The social work team will be available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. to assist with joining the waitlist for Racine County’s Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program and Project Based Vouchers. Applications open at 8 a.m. and close after the maximum number of applicants apply, so visitors seeking assistance are encouraged to arrive as early as possible. To get help, find the social work team on the second floor by the public computers. Their services today are walk-in only, first-come, first-served.
The applications are online only. The library’s public computers as well as additional laptops will be available for your applications, or you may bring your own device. You will need the date of birth and social security numbers of everyone in your household to complete the form.
For more information about the waitlists, visit RCHA.org.
If you have a laptop at home can you sign up online?
Yes, you can! It looks like these will be posted at https://www.pha-web.com/portals/onlineApplication/1766 when they’re available, but you can find everything you need on RCHA.org if you have any questions.
