About the Racine Public Library

Building literacy since 1897.

Welcome to the Racine Public Library

The Racine Public Library has been a part of the Racine community for 125 years, and counting. Since 1897, we have grown from a single reading room in a downtown building to a two-story community gathering place that services the Racine community east of Interstate 94. In addition to our building, we also have a Bookmobile, outreach libraries and a home delivery service.
