Learn a Language

Learning a new language can be hard work, but accessing the resources to do it is easy. Check out our resources below to get started.

Borrow Language Learning Materials

Physical Materials

Our physical language-learning materials can be found in the 400s section of non-fiction. Browse materials now to place a hold or plan your trip in advance. If you place a hold, we’ll notify you when titles are available for pickup. You can also check out our Library GO! services for easier ways to access our physical materials.

Digital Materials

If you’re looking for materials you can use on your devices, check out the language-learning selection in Wisconsin’s Digital Library (or its app, Libby). Available titles can be checked out and downloaded to your device instantaneously and are available for up to 14 days before they need to be renewed or returned.
