Picking Up Materials at the Main Library
Curbside Pick Up Hours at the Main Library are Monday through Thursday, 9 am – 8 pm and Friday & Saturday, 11 am – 4 pm.
After you receive your notification you can head down to the main library. Curbside Pick Up will take place at the main entrance of the library. Patrons will use the library’s regular entrance to pick up their materials.
Upon your arrival at the Downtown Library, call 262.636.9390, verify your identity with your library card number, or by your name and telephone number. If you don’t have a cell phone, you may walk up to the table in the outer lobby and let the staff know your information. Masks must be worn at curbside locations.
Staff will bring out your materials to the table in the outer lobby. From there you can pick them up and enjoy your materials.
Picking up Materials at the Bookmobile
Bookmobile Curbside Pickup is following the Bookmobile Fall Schedule. The schedule can be found here After you receive your notification, you can head out to your preferred Bookmobile stop. Upon your arrival at the Bookmobile, call 262.939.2264, verify your identity with your library card number, or by your name and telephone number. If you don’t have a cell phone, walk up to the door, and knock. The staff will be able to help you from there. Masks must be worn at curbside locations.
Staff will bring the materials out to you.
Racine Public Library staff are available Monday – Thursday, 9 – 8 pm, Friday from 9 am – 4 pm and Saturday, 11 am – 4 pm to place holds for you. Call 262.636.9217 to have a staff member place holds for you. You may also place holds on the catalog on your own.
If you don’t have a library card no problem. You can register for a library card online and a physical card will be sent to you in the mail.
The Racine Public Library is providing limited internet services during this time. The hours for curbside internet access are Monday through Friday from 10 am – 2 pm by appointment only. To make an appointment, call the Call Center at 262.636.9217.
Services offered are the following: 30 minutes of internet use per day, printing, scanning, and copying. Currently, we are not charging for copies and prints through the end of 2020.
The entrance for curbside internet is located on Lake Ave just north of the old YMCA driveway. Masks MUST be worn at curbside services. The library has a supply of masks if you do not have one.
Parking Lot WiFi
Our WiFi signal reaches down to the library parking lot. You can log in to our wifi with your personal device. The password for our wifi is rpl75lake.
No materials can be returned to curbside except for the materials that do not fit into the book drops. Book Drop locations are listed below. Please note: materials that are returned will be quarantined for 4 days before being checked-in.

For DVDs-CDs-CD ROMs-Video Games or any other AV items please use the following:
- Downtown by the post office drop boxes on Lake Ave. Beginning October 26, the boxes will move back to the library.
- Ohio St. North of Graceland Blvd. Please place all AV items in the North box.
- Shorecrest, 3900 Erie St.
Please do not return AV materials to any other book drop boxes other than what is listed above.
