Newspapers and Magazines

BadgerLink

BadgerLink, a free statewide service, provides web-based magazine and newspaper indexes to residents of Wisconsin. Many of the entries in these databases are full-text. If you find references to articles that are not full-text, check the list of magazines and newspapers owed by the Racine Public Library.

For information on how to use BadgerLink services click here.

Ebscohost includes magazine indexes for:
adults                 academic/scholarly journals
children               business/trade journals
teens                  general magazines
college students  health/medical/nursing & journals

ProQuest includes indexing and full text through the BadgerLink website if you have a Wisconsin-based Internet Service Provider (ISP) that has registered with Department of Public Instruction (DPI).

If you use a national ISP, such as AOL, or a local provider that has not registered with DPI, you can use your Racine Public Library card number to login to Ebscohost or ProQuest.

Journal Times Archives

The Journal Times has provided the library with a subscription to its online archives, so that the public can access this information using the library's public access Internet computers. We are not able to provide access through this web site, but you can ask the Adult Services staff to do a search for you by calling 262-636-9217 or sending an email to Racine_Reference@racinlelibrary.info.
