The library maintains a file of interested applicants, so we encourage you to request an application at the main desk in the lobby.

Job openings for pages and shelvers occur most frequently. When these positions are open, we often post signs at the main desk in the lobby.

Openings for other library positions are usually listed with the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development and are accessible through the Wisconsin JobNet Job Search web site.

Volunteers at the Racine Public Library play an essential role in helping promote the library’s mission to enhance our community's quality of life by providing information, ideas, and creative works. Community members who volunteer their time with us ensure that the Racine Public Library continues to grow and flourish.

Volunteers work on a variety of tasks including helping patrons, participating in events and helping maintain the libraries collections and appearance.

We encourage anyone 16 and older to attend one of our information sessions to learn about the variety of opportunities that are available.
